Margolies\, M.D. Family Educational Conference at Skytop Lodge this year. This educational conference is for anyone living with a bleeding disorder registered with HANY residing within the NY State service area. The conference will be a time for relationship centered adventure\, strengthening of family and community connections\, and education in the areas of nutrition\, health\, personal development\, and advocacy specific to the needs of all those attending. Programs\, meals\, and rooms are included. Transportation to and from Skytop Lodge will be available.

SUMMARY:2023 SAIL -  Self Advocacy\, Independence & Leadership Teen Retreat Program
DESCRIPTION:This program is for children of the bleeding disorders community ages 13-18\, siblings and accompanying parent / guardian for those under 18. \nThe focus of this program is: \nSelf Advocacy – “Who am I?”  “What is my story?”  “How can I best express my issues and needs?” \nIndependence – As teens move from childhood to early adulthood they would benefit from enhancing their skill sets required for independence.  Preparing for college\, work\, internships\, managing finances\, managing their health. \nLeadership – Specific exercises in leadership will build confidence and better decision making for this cohort.
